if you have a harmony remote and want to hide your equipment this is what you need, the only problem i have with the extender is a little delay when buttons are pushed, over all a great product
Works perfectly receiving the signal from my Harmony 1100 and sending it all of my components. I have the PS3 adapter directly connected to it and it just works. The only complaint is on Logitech's end that they require you to disconnect and reprogram the Wireless Extender whenever you make changes to the 1100 unlike the Harmony 900 which remotely configures its Extender.
I bought the Harmony RF Wireless Extender with the Harmony 1100 Remote because all of my devices with the exception of my television are behind closed doors in a cabinet. If you're watch a program that you've previously recorded and want to fast forward past a commercial or hit pause, the delay time between hitting the button on the Harmony 1100 remote and the actual command taking place is longer than with some other RF devices I've used. The device was extemely easy to set up and works very well in terms of turning on and off equipment when it's supposed to. The only problem is that it's quite slow to react to a command. The good thing is it almost aways does what you want it to do. So, if you can deal with the slower than desired response time, it's a great device to pair with one of the Harmony remotes.
Having an armoire that has doors on the front, this has made our entertainment center a pleasure to enjoy. It was easy to install and the customer support was very helpful in placing the wires on the different components. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
This is my third Harmony remote (model 890), and previously I wasn't using the RF Extender. When you buy the Harmony 890, one RF Extender like this one is already included in the box.I felt that the RF Extender increases the reliability of the Harmony remote. Previously I found myself using more frequently the Harmony "Help" button to re-send signals that were not picked by the devices. With the RF Extender, the infrared emitter is glued right into each device signal receptor, so there's no way it doesn't detect the signal.I highly recommend using the RF Extender if you found yourself using too frequently the Help button to resend signals to your devices.
